The Cinema & Digital Arts program at The 91ɫ��Ƭ91ɫ��Ƭ University is currently producing its second full-length feature film, “FIN.”

“FIN” is a suspense film set in the five-month period in Revelation 9:1-11, when strange creatures referred to as “locusts” are released on the Earth.

“I’ve always wanted to do a suspense film,” says Prof. Matt Green, director of the CDA program and co-producer of “FIN.” “And the thing I get asked more than anything else by faith film distributors is, ‘Do you have anything on the end times?’ Because the end times are a wildly popular subject matter. But we didn’t have anything — until now.”

The premise may be apocalyptic, but Green has deliberately kept the project trim in scope, with a focus on practical effects and a small number of shooting locations, all on TMU91ɫ��Ƭ campus.

Compared to the program91ɫ��Ƭ first full-length film, “The Man From Nowhere,” Green says that this film is aimed at a younger, college-age audience.

And here91ɫ��Ƭ another difference: “When we made ‘The Man From Nowhere,’ we had 26 CDA students,” Green says. “Right now, we have 60.”

Over 50 students are involved with work on “FIN,” whether by acting, doing camera work, helping with wardrobe design, or completing various aspects of post-production. The goal is to finish the film by the end of May.

“We’re doing some things in terms of student leadership that we’ve never done before,” Green says.

This includes having a student co-producer on the film, TMU senior Miranda Watson, as well as numerous other student leaders in charge of post-production, visual effects, and other aspects of the project.

“As the program grows and expands, and we get more and more people able to fit these roles, they get to have that experience and put these credits on their resumes,” Green says. “This degree of hands-on experience is what makes our program unique.”
