New Students

If you intend to bring a vehicle to campus, or think you may occasionally borrow one from home, you will need a Mustang Permit.

Beginning a few weeks into the semester, the residence hall parking lots will use a new tap-to-enter access system. Only students who have purchased a valid Mustang Permit will be able to tap their ID card, phone or watch to open the gate. If Campus Safety is present at the gate, you may still get to bring a vehicle to the dorms, but if Campus Safety is not present you will not be able to park by the dorms and need to park on lower campus to walk. To avoid this inconvenience, be sure you have your Mustang Permit.

To order a permit, you will need to create your account (you will need your student ID number for that) at聽, and then return to the same page and purchase your permit.

Once you have completed your parking permit order and payment online, you may pick up your sticker permit at the Campus Safety Guard Shack or the Campus Safety Office at the NAC during normal business hours.

Please take additional time to review the safety code, our parking rules, as we hold each student accountable after a brief grace period and time of adjustment at the beginning of each school year.

Returning Students

If Campus Safety is present at the gate, you may still get to bring a vehicle to the dorms, but if Campus Safety is not present you will not be able to park by the dorms and need to park on lower campus to walk. To avoid this inconvenience, be sure you have your Mustang Permit.

Faculty & Staff

All TMU faculty and staff may continue using their existing hanging placard permit or register for a new sticker permit.

Faculty and staff parking permits are provided at no cost and remain valid for as long as you are employed by The 91色情片’s University.

If you need to obtain a new parking permit, please visit聽聽to register your vehicle (if you have not already done so) and order your complimentary permit.

2026-2027 Parking Permits FAQ

  • Payment: Complete your permit order through Rydin. You may either pay by credit card during checkout or skip the online payment process and have the permit charge billed to your student account. Charges applied to student accounts will be billed the following month.
  • Cost:听$250
  • Valid: Fall 2026 through Spring 2027.聽 A valid permit is required for聽vehicles parking on campus during business hours and for access to the dorm area.
  • Permit Type must match your housing status:
    • Resident permit (RES): Students living聽in a dorm
    • Off-Campus permit (OC): Students living聽off campus or in a canyon home

**If your housing status has changed and you are not offered the correct permit, please email to update your status.

Most frequently cited violations:

  • RESIDENT PARKING RESTRICTION:聽Resident students may not park on the lower campus between Mon-Fri from 8 am 鈥 5 pm. For injuries, please refer to the athletic trainers or the school nurse for exemptions.
  • PERMIT/FAILURE TO DISPLAY:聽Students must register all vehicles they intend to bring and display their assigned Mustang Permit on campus or at Canyon Homes.
  • PARKING PROHIBITED:聽Only unmarked parking stalls in one of TMU’s parking lots are allowed during regular business hours. Hashed areas in front of neighbors鈥 houses where 鈥渘o parking鈥 signs are placed are not allowed.
  • DESIGNATED PARKING:聽Do not park in spaces designated for faculty/staff, visitors, or by title or name Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm.

Students bringing a vehicle to campus will be expected to聽have their permit ordered when they arrive for the semester.
